Gabor Szekely
Co-Founder & Chief Strategist
Hey there, it's Gabor! I'm all about a few things: staying active, healthy, and relaxed, plus turning big dreams into actions!

As a kid, I fell in love with bikes. Riding gives me this incredible feeling of freedom and adventure. When I'm not out pedalling, I geek out on tech stuff and biz developments.

But you know what really gets me going? Building businesses from scratch with others. Starting with an idea and turning it into something real - that's my energy boost :) I’m here in The Astara Club to help every member. This community gives me the chance to share my experiences and knowledge professionally.

I also do something a bit unusual. I'm a professional trader, predicting what will happen in the futures market. And as a tech geek, I'm always finding ways to make trading easier and more effective.

Staying healthy and active is crucial to me because it helps me excel in sports, business, and everything else. And you don't have to wait to start working and learning together! Join our open-minded club where everyone is here to help and share networking and knowledge.
Josine Smid
Co-Founder & Lifestyle Consultant
Hi there, I’m Josine. I grew up loving the thrill of chase, a childhood game that unknowingly foreshadowed the challenges life had in store. At 13, my parents' painful divorce divided my family, leaving me feeling like an outsider. By 16, I had moved out and I started my decade-long journey seeking escape, adventure and purpose.

From Australia through Southeast Asia my quest for self-discovery led me to Munich, then the Netherlands. Leiden became my sanctuary, where I rebuilt myself, earned a Master's in Anthropology and Sociology, and realised the need to mend my personal relationships.

Amid the pandemic, I focused on personal growth, undertaking first a Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, then later earning a Dharma Coaching Certificate. This journey of self-reconnection allowed me to mend strained family bonds as well as friendships. Recognising my calling in coaching and fitness training, I co-founded The Astara Club, a space celebrating inspiration, authenticity, genuine connections, and personal and professional balance.

Reflecting on my life's chase, I've learned to face fears, embrace conflict, and celebrate my true self. The Astara Club is my way of impacting lives, inspiring authenticity, and embracing the vibrant colors of life's rollercoaster. I can't wait to welcome you on this journey.

Pieter Voskamp
Co-Founder & Director
Hi, I'm Pieter and during my time in management, I had a moment of realisation. The repetitive, unchallenging, and monotonous lifestyle that was so comfortable for me made me wonder if it was the sole reason for my existence. I realized that worrying or feeling stressed about things that I wouldn't remember in the final moments of my life is not worth it.

As a child, I loved hands-on projects and creative activities like building bicycles, crafting skateboard ramps, and music production. I pursued a degree in Tax Law for stability, but found most courses uninteresting. The thought of a mundane career in tax law prompted a shift in focus.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I redirected my aspirations to music production but soon realized it wasn't my true calling. Reflecting on my studies, I found I excelled in marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship. After graduation, I pivoted away from tax law to assist in a managerial capacity during the pandemic, but the excitement I anticipated didn't materialise.

With a clear understanding of my passions and strengths, I seek a career that aligns with my natural inclinations, allowing me to create, innovate, and contribute meaningfully. I am driven by a desire to empower individuals to navigate life's complexities, connect with like-minded people, and a vision of empowering individuals to live the life they want. It is always worth it, because - as cheesy as that may sound - you are worth it. Make it happen for you and join The Astara Club.
Blues - The Mascot
Happiness Consultant
Hi there, I’m Blues. I grew up in the loving household of Josine and Pieter. They adopted me a couple of years ago and showed me a lot of love. I taught them all about happiness, how to hide toys, and how to hunt cats and rabbits. The Astara Club for me is not only a home but a place where I can share all my happiness and also find so many new friends to play with. I’m sure that I will get a lot of love and a lot of hugs.

These are a few of my favourite things:
  • Sticks
  • Toys I can destroy
  • Toys I can’t destroy
  • Tennis-balls
  • Naps
  • FOOD (even though my parents say I’m allergic to chicken, I love it!) Oh…
  • CHICKEN(s)
  • Searching Games
  • Any games, really

My role at The Astara Club: I will be open for private 1-on-1 sessions on how to really be happy all the time.

I’m looking forward to meeting you and can’t wait to get petted by you a lot :)

The Astara Logo
Illuminating Entrepreneurs
The Astara Club logo mirrors our mission: to illuminate and empower entrepreneurs. Inspired by the ancient Greek term "Astara", meaning "old greek star," our logo, a gradient rainbow, signifies growth, transition, and inclusivity. Each hue symbolizes the diverse experiences entrepreneurs navigate, capturing the dynamic nature of their journey. More than a visual symbol, our logo is a promise—to foster an environment where entrepreneurs can thrive and shine brightly. It's not just a representation; it's a commitment to empower, illuminate, and guide entrepreneurs on their transformative path to success.
